Knight-Commander Angus Kaas

Personal work for my IP, Nightfall.

Ever since he was a young boy, expectations for greatness was exceedingly high from Angus' family. As a firstborn growing up among the pinnacle of nobility, he was trained in all aspects of sophistication, leadership, warfare and politics to one day be a paragon among his people.

This journey was not to be an easy one however. Angus was a slow reader, and scrawny compared to his comrades at the academy. He received regular beatings from both his parents and his teachers, slowly reinforcing his self-image as a failure. Sadness eventually led to resentment and hatred for his superiors and kin, and in his late teens the pain became unbearable. During a night filled with panic attacks, Angus flew out of his bed, grabbed his sword and went on a rampage within the academy, killing some of his most oppressive teachers as well as his own father in their sleep.

After fleeing the country following this tragic event, he eventually ended up joining forces with a rivalling faction who took him in and gained his trust, where he worked his way up the chain as a soldier. Now, almost 40 years later, knighted for his dedication and services to his new king, he leads their armies in battle against his former allies.
